Yesterday I took my 2006 Honda Ridgeline to your store at Washington and Green Bay Road to have my coil springs changed. The service I received was top of the line. The employees are professional and friendly. The men who worked on my truck were Steve and Angel. They stayed late just to finish the job. That impressed me to the highest degree. Their friendship and courtesy have made me a customer for life. It takes a lot to impress me but these two gentlemen overwhelmed me. Please convey my sincerest thanks to them. A pat on the back, handshake, and a sincere thank you should be relayed to them.

Some years back, my husband and I were traveling from Chicago to Waukegan to attend a reunion. I was on the planning committee, so all of the supplies, grills, decorations, food, etc., were loaded in our car. As luck would have it, we got a flat tire on Green Bay Road, miles from our destination.

Luckily, a friend we were traveling with was right behind us and drove us to a tire shop we located in the phone book—Waukegan Tires on Green Bay Road. The staff was so kind, offering use the use of their compressor to fill the tire with air and get the car to their shop for their review. They let us take the compressor, trusting us with nothing more than our word to return it. We were able to fill the tire, and we drove to the shop. They looked at the tire and repaired it for us…NO CHARGE….for the compressor or the repair. I have never forgotten this kindness and have referred many people to the shop. –N. Schaul

I came to Waukegan Tire back in January 2008 in need of 4 All Season Performance Tires for my 2006 Acura TL-6sp. With the factory tires, I had been sliding all over the road and frankly I felt unsafe about my cars handling in inclement weather.

During my visit to your Washington street location, I was greeted by your sales consultant, Fred Jannini. He recommended two brands of performance tires, Vredestein and Nokian. After considering his personal testimony and the testimony of other employees at the location, I selected the Vredestein -Wintrac Xtreme tires.

My Wintrac Xtreme's are better than Fantastic! I am no longer sliding around the Chicago Metro Area. Thank God! I travel from Gurnee to the South Side of Chicago (approximately 120 miles) at minimum everyday.They have surpassed my expectations in both the snow, rain and ice. I have been bragging about these tires from the moment I encountered Chicago's next snow storm. These tires have given me more confidence while driving in inclement weather. Believe it or not, I now look forward to driving in the snow, rain or ice. It may sound a little crazy but it is the truth.

I would like to once again thank your great staff, especially Fred, at your Washington location. Keep up the GREAT WORK. You just gained a customer for life and a real-life unofficial salesman for Waukegan Tire.

Dear Mr. Nerheim,

I am writing this letter to let you know how pleased I am with the level of salesmanship and serice I received from your company and especially one of your employees, Mark Reynolds. I just thought that I would let you know that in our current business environment that today revolves so much on customer service, it's nice to deal with individuals who take pride in the customer and the importance of getting it right the first time. I'm a big believer that first impressions are very important in formulating an opinion. Mark is not only knowledgeable but courteous and patient as well. His follow-up with me on certain questions that I had during the short buying process was timely and handled with professionalism. I can only tell you that I began my research for a set of winter tires and wheels for a new vehicle less than two weeks ago. Two of the companies that I initially was dealing with, "dropped the ball", never getting back to me after I had left messages with the sales person asking for additional information. That certainly did not leave me with a good taste in my mouth. As I said, first impressions are very important. And that's what brought me to Waukegan Tire.

I am looking forward to being able to put my "new shoes and socks" on and go play in the snow!

I'm glad to have met Mark. He is truly and asset to Waukegan Tire. I hope to remain a customer for many years to come and hope Mark and Waukegan Tire is there to service my tire and wheel needs in the future.

Dear Mr. McBride:

We recently visited the Chicago area and unfortunately experienced car trouble when an alloy rim cracked on our 1996 Mitsubishi Eclipse. We found ourselves searching the Waukegan area on an extremely cold holiday weekend for a new or used alloy rim so we would be able to drive back to Maryland.

In our search for a rim, we ran into numerous problems with other tire companies that we contacted. Some did not have the rim in stock or were insistent on selling us four expensive rims, which was out of the question because we had limited funds. The locals junk yard would not even help us because they informed us it was too cold outside for them to look.

We were beginning to get very frustrated until we by chance stopped into Waukegan Tire. We dealt directly with Eddie Frisch. He checked every option on the computer and was patient, courteous and very professional. We were extremely pleased with the excellent service we received from Eddie. He was able to find a used rim at a reasonable price and personally mounted the tire himself. We both want to extend our deepest thanks to Eddie for his excellent assistance and friendly demeanor.
